On July 15, a group of 10 people including Tongxiang Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Mayor Yu Huiyou, and Deputy Mayor Yuan Jie visited the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University. At the symposium, the two sides listened to the report of Wang Ke, the executive deputy director of the Wuzhen Laboratory, on the preliminary construction of the laboratory, and actively offered suggestions for the future development of the laboratory.

Academician Zhou Ji, professor of the School of Materials Science and Director of the Wuzhen Laboratory, said that since the Wuzhen Laboratory was signed and established, with the strong support and joint efforts of the Tongxiang Municipal People's Government, the School of Materials Science of Tsinghua University and the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of Tsinghua University, all work has been progressing smoothly. The overall development momentum is good. He emphasized that it is necessary to build the Wuzhen Laboratory into an innovation platform with accurate positioning, clear goals and distinctive characteristics, combine local development needs with national goals, give full play to the advantages of laboratory research team talents and technologies, and serve the transformation and upgrading of local industries. At the same time, we will focus on solving the problem of "stuck neck" in key core technologies.

Academician Nan Cewen, a professor at the School of Materials and the chief scientist of the Wuzhen Laboratory, pointed out that the Wuzhen Laboratory should give full play to the advantages of the three parties in terms of human resources, scientific research achievements, and industrial foundation, and create a ten Linking innovation carriers to actively support and promote scientific and technological research and achievement transformation of cutting-edge materials.
